Egg Nog Spiced Latte Martini

As part of my holiday spicy cocktail series of recipes, my husband Rich created the Egg Nog Spiced Latte Martini. We aren’t big fans of egg nog, but somehow Rich managed to invent a way to make this Christmas-time drink very enjoyable. I’d best describe this martini drink as a dessert-like drink, that is subtle (not too sweet), smooth, and delicately spicy.

Egg Nog Spiced Latte Martini

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Egg Nog (or use Almond Nog)
  • 2 oz Dark Rum
  • 1 oz Cold Brew Coffee
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Sprig of Mint
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
You can substitute diary egg-nog with almond nog, its just as yummy!

The Process

  • Combine egg nog, dark rum, cold brew coffee, and ground cinnamon into a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled and frothy.
  • Strain into a martini glass.
  • Sprinkle ground nutmeg over surface of drink. Garnish with cinnamon stick and sprig of mint.
